Jesus Creed
Currently I’m reading the book “40 days Living the Jesus Creed“, written by Scot McKnight, owner of the blog “Jesus Creed”. The book is a sort of a sequel to the book Jesus Creed (which I haven’t read yet by the way), and explores more on the Jesus Creed in a diary kind of way. It’s a great book that teaches me a lot of things.
The Jesus Creed by the way, for anyone who doesn’t know what it is, is named so by Mr. McKnight himself. It’s the passage in Mark 12:29-31, where Jesus answers the question from a scribe which commandment was the most important. Jesus answers like this: “The greatest is, ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. The second is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
