Today I read a great quote in the book “40 days Living the Jesus Creed”. The quote is from a woman named Roberta Bondi. She says that “only as we learn to love God and other do we gain the real freedom and autonomy in a society in which most people live in a state of slavery to their own needs and desires.”

A few days ago Scot McKnight wrote about the fact that God doesn’t choose sides; He is impartial. He cited a text from Acts (10:34-35): “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.” I love that. God doesn’t make any distinction between man and woman, black and white, slave or free, single or married, pastor or church-member. Everyone is equal to Him and He loves everyone equally.
