There’s much more to say about healing. But the question I want to talk about shortly today is: Is Divine healing still applicable today?

According to the famous churchfather Augustine it isn’t. He wrote that with the dying of the apostles, the gift of healing also died. Augustine’s opinion is shared by many believers both in history and today. Well, to me that’s a strange thing to say. If this would be the case, wouldn’t God also have foretold that in the Bible? The Bible doesn’t say anything like that. Another consequence of Augustine’s opinion is that we should ask ourselves the question, if healing as a spiritual gift has died, do other spiritual gifts exist? They might have died as well!

To my opinion Divine healing is still something that exists. Just this morning I heard a witness from a friend who told me that another friend was healed from a long-term knee-injury after being prayed for. Just one simple example of the fact that God still heals!! Halleluja!
