I am addicted
OK, I have to admit it. I always knew that one day the truth had to come out. So here it is: I am an addict. I have a very strong addiction that I can’t get rid of.
But is it 
or 
or 
?
Lucky for me these addictions are not what I am talking about! My addiction is (physically) a lot less devastating. My addiction is that I want to consume tons of information through the internet, tv, iTunes (iPod) or via books and magazines. Especially books! I read everything, or almost everything, because I have found out that I can’t read everything. Surprise huh?
One-and-a-half weeks ago it was my birthday and a few days ago we celebrated the Dutch feast of “Sinterklaas”. On both occasions I received some books, so my appetite can be satisfied again.
I got the following books:
- Brother Andrew and Al Janssen – Secret Believers (Dutch translation, Geheime gelovigen)
- Michael Yaconelli – Messy Spirituality (Dutch translation, Struikelend achter Jezus aan)
- Larry Crabb and Dan Allender – Encouragement (The key to caring) (Dutch translation: Bemoedigen doet goed) Apparently someone wants me to learn how to encourage others
- David Pawson – Unlocking the secret, Omnibus (Dutch translation, Sleutels tot de Bijbel)
- Another Larry Crap, eeh Crabb, book – The Pressure’s Off (Dutch translation, De Druk van de Ketel).
And that while I was also in the middle of reading:
- Willem de Vink – Hemels DNA (only in Dutch, English should be Heavenly DNA)
- Mattheus van der Steen – Durf te Dromen (also only in Dutch, English should be Dare to Dream).
And I think it’s needless to say that I still have other books on my wishlist. But, where do I get the time to read all this stuff? I don’t know!!! HELP!!! But then again, I LIKE IT!!! I just love to read. I hope heaven is filled with books and magazines. Maybe it’s a good idea to pray for that. Probably God will answer my prayer. Ooh, exciting!!

o jeh believe me it’s a true addiction!!! It’s really amazing how much this man loves information. But this and the candy drop are the only addictions he has, so I am a very happy wife. I love you honey with or without this addiction. You are the best!!
